Such a work day can only happen at 105 Secondary School “Atanas Dalchev”!

The school is one of the innovative schools in the country, and those are not words without content. Real teacher spirit is found in Svetlana Simeonova – a professor of fine arts who managed to infect more than a few of her graduates. The day we gather to begin painting the yard is extremely hot. 30 degrees in the shadow, with hot dry weather forecasts. At the same time, a national physics competition is taking place at the school. This does not, however, prevent the participants in the Olympics from joining our work.

For decorating have been designated: 4 bins, 9 flower pots, the ramp for disabled people, and one of the steps of the central staircase.

The projects that students have made include elements from northern Bulgaria, chickens typical for the Shop region, and rhomboid patterns, a symbol of fertility. Our work joins Jamal Palikarov who, despite the temperatures, was dressed in a folk costume from the Rhodopes and was fillling the schoolyard with the sounds of his gaida. “I am rehearsing for the meeting in the village of Gelа” he told me. And he inspires us all day with wonderful music.
