New film from our “African movies” cycle:
Welcome on Monday – 14h May, at 7 p.m. at the Alma Alter Theater-laboratory.
The extraordinary story of three Rwandan kids who walk 3000 miles to the Soccer World Cup in South Africa. Through these kids, we will encounter an Africa few people ever get to see; experience the hard reality of an epic walk through seven countries; as well as the joy, laughter and hope – ‘the ubuntu’ – that comes from making an incredible journey together.
Beatrice wishes to become a doctor and find a cure for AIDS. Fabrice tries to express his love of football to his mother, but she simply replies “Africa doesn’t need dreams, it needs to wake up”.
Road movie, adventure, comedy drama … no matter what label you give it, „Africa United“ is a unique piece of filmmaking, full of the joys and wounds of Africa
