Study visit in Spain | Let’s Celebrate 111 years experiencing inclusion EVS | 30.10.2017

A training visit was held in Aviles (Spain) where our representative took part. Here’s what she says:

“Emotional meeting I’ve seen with colleagues we’ve been working with for a few years now, meeting with our ex-volunteers, others – hearing over the phone.

Emotions did not leave us during the work sessions:

–  we have analyzed our experience over the years: gaps and strengths,
–
recommendations for inclusion of young people with specific needs,
–
our vision of the future, in which we really give chances to people with fewer opportunities or specific needs to be included.

During the meeting, we created 2 documents with recommendations to colleagues on how to work in the field of young people’s involvement and our position on the development of the “European Inclusion Strategy”. A copy of the document will be handed over to the Bulgarian National Agency – Human Resources Development Center, “Erasmus+” Operator in Bulgaria. Documents will also be accessible through our site so that interested individuals and organizations can use them.

With our partners from Spain “Europa Aqui” we have been working since 2012. We have completed 9 projects (EVS – short and long-term, training courses, youth exchanges, study visits). I admire their efforts to help people with disabilities in their community get involved and travel. Each project and participation of these young people brings satisfaction, strengthening their independence and fulfilling life. I will be happy to continue our partnership. “

The project is funded under the European Program “Erasmus+”, Key Activity 1: Citizens mobility
