Open Space Foundation has been awarded for volunteering!

Open Space Foundation has received well-deserved recognition for its dedication to volunteering! On Volunteering Day (December 5), at the award ceremony for the winners of the “Volunteer Mission (Impossible)” competition, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, our foundation was honored with the prestigious award in the “Organization that has conducted a volunteering initiative” category.

The president of the foundation, Pepa Peneva, received a statuette and a check for 150 leva, which were presented by the director of the Center for Human Resources Development. This award is not only a recognition of our work, but also an incentive to continue developing and helping where we are needed.

Our team works on many volunteering initiatives, but the project that was nominated is for the construction of a mountain bike trail in the town of Veliki Preslav. In this video, you can see more about the project and its results:

“This award is proof that our work has been noticed and appreciated,” says Pepa Peneva, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Open Space Foundation. “It motivates us to continue developing and supporting volunteering as a value and a way of life. We believe that each of us can make a difference, it is important to start with ourselves.”

We would like to thank all the volunteers who participated in the implementation of the project. Without your dedication and willingness to help, this success would not have been possible. We also thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Center for Human Resources Development for organizing this competition and for the recognition they gave us.
