6 rays, 36 towns and 60 schools – The traveling exhibition “Youth Together Against Disinformation” begins its journey!
With great excitement, on January 30, from the British Council in Bulgaria, we announce the official launch of the national tour of the exhibition “Youth Against Disinformation”. Due to the great interest from educational institutions across the country, the project is launched on a large scale on February 3: 6 rays will go out simultaneously to reach 60 schools in 36 towns!
The voice of the new generation in the digital world
In the era of artificial intelligence and the lightning-fast spread of information, critical thinking is no longer just a skill, but a necessity for survival. The Open Space Foundation, with the support of the British Council in Bulgaria and the Association of European Journalists in Bulgaria (AEB), presents the results of the project “Youth Connected Against Disinformation”.
Youth teaching youth
The project turns the traditional model of education upside down. Here, the teachers are the youth themselves. Through journalistic research, social theater and board games, they explore the topics that directly affect their generation. The exhibition presents materials on the following topics:
- Media literacy with a focus on recognizing fake news and manipulative content.
- Digital identity, exploring the boundary between the real “I” and the filtered image on social networks.
- Online safety comes with practical tips for protection from cyber-bullying, financial fraud and the influence of incel culture.
Value-added results
The traveling exhibition consists of 16 interactive panels. Each of them is equipped with a QR code that takes readers to in-depth articles, author’s studies and video materials created by the young people themselves. This is not just an exhibition, but a portal to knowledge presented in the language of the digital generation.
