Open Space foundation strengthens its commitment to the European Solidarity Corps

Open Space Foundation is an active participant in creating a better future for young people and communities. We are happy to share that a representative of the foundation is participating in the TOSCA international training organized by the Human Resources Development Center. This event brought together representatives of 11 countries working in the field of the European Solidarity Corps.

What is TOSCA?

TOSCA is a series of trainings, and this edition focuses on the active participation and strengthening of civic engagement of projects within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps. This training activity aims to support and build the capacity of organizations actively involved in the voluntary actions of the European Solidarity Corps to ensure quality and impact in the respective projects. The Solidarity Corps promotes young people’s participation in democratic processes and civic engagement. With volunteerism at its heart, the program engages and empowers young people to be active in society, to strive for the principles of unity and diversity, as well as social, cultural and historical heritage.

A representative of the “Open Space” Foundation participated in the training, and together with the topics discussed, he also created new contacts and talks are already underway for support and joint activities in the areas in which our team has been working for years:

– Preservation of cultural heritage;

– Citizen journalism;

– Anti-corruption practices;

– Changing habits and relationships through arts and sports.

Our participant Ivanka Stavreva shares: “Participation in the TOSCA training was extremely valuable for me. I have expanded my knowledge and skills that will help me in my work as a mentor and in general in my collaboration with different teams. I believe that together we can create a better future for young people in Bulgaria.”

Thanks to the organizers of the TOSCA training in Bulgaria: Center for Human Resources Development, and the trainers, who in a fun way provoked discussions and networking among the participants.
